Bill Hogg is an exiled Scotsman living in the Pacific Northwest. Having moved to the USA in 1995, he served as a Youth Pastor and as the Seattle area Youth for Christ Evangelist-At-Large, before becoming Senior Pastor at Living Hope Community Church.
In February of 2007 Bill moved his family to British Columbia to become associate teaching pastor at Gracepoint Community Church in Surrey; this was part of a succession plan to replace founding pastor, Peter Nikkol. In November 2007, Bill became Gracepoint’s lead pastor after Peter’s retirement.
In addition, Bill has served as an adjunct youth ministry professor at Seattle Pacific University and Seattle Bible College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Paisley University; a Bachelor of Theology from N.T.C. (Manchester, England) and a Master of Arts in Evangelism Studies (passed with distinction) from Sheffield University. He is currently studying for his Doctorate of Ministry at Gordon Cromwell.
Bill is the author Bill Hogg's Most Excellent Guide to Praying (Kingsway), as well as the upcoming Bill Hogg's Guide to the Good Book. He is a contributing writer to Fast Moving Currents in Youth Culture (Lynx), and his ministry has been featured in the media all over Scotland and the UK.
Bill has is married to his sweetheart, Morag. They have two fantastic children, Naomi and Peter. He enjoys "the beautiful game" (known to the Philistines as soccer), baseball (but despises the Yankees), as well as movies and browsing in bookstores (but hates the mall--any mall). Bill also enjoys Indian food, and since moving to Seattle has adapted his taste buds to gourmet coffee and microbrews.
